I plan to pass the bar exam the first time around, but just in case – does Helix offer a pass guarantee?

We expect you to be successful and pass the bar exam, too! We also know that you need to put in the work to give yourself the best odds of success. You are entitled to a free repeat of any Helix comprehensive course if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are a first-time user of Helix UBE, Helix California, Helix Florida, or Helix NextGen and purchased your course six weeks or more before the associated bar exam date; and
  • You provide evidence of registration for the bar exam and a valid reason(s) for failure to sit for the exam; or
  • You have completed 75+% of the overall course content.
    • The 75+% must include meaningful completion of the following Helix UBE, Helix Florida, Helix California benchmark coursework:
      • Three MBE Practice Exams;
      • The MBE portion of the Simulated Exam; and
      • Earn a score higher than zero on three graded assignments.
    • The 75+% must include meaningful completion of the following Helix NextGen benchmark coursework:
      • Simulated Exam #1;
      • Three of six "Additional Practice" Sets; and
      • Earn a score higher than zero on three graded assignments.
  • You failed the bar exam; and
  • You use the free repeat for the next administration of the same jurisdiction's exam. (Note: If your jurisdiction changes from UBE to NextGen UBE for the next administration, you are entitled to switch courses as well.) 

To request the free course guarantee, please complete our Support form and attach your official bar exam results, including your score report, within 30 days of the notice of failure. Notification after 30 days will make you ineligible for this guarantee. Once all information has been received and reviewed, Helix Bar Review will determine your eligibility.

New books and other program materials are not included in the Helix Guarantee.

(Note: Helix MBE is a supplemental program, so this guarantee does not apply. For Helix LL.M. users, the Helix Guarantee applies to the administration-specific bar review course component only.)
